Carter Turns 2!

So Wednesday night was carters actual birthday. I cannot believe i have kept a human alive for two whole years! It has seriously flown by. Sometimes i don't think you notice in just your day to day interactions but when i got back and look at little videos i took or pictures its CRAZY! Carter has been such a joy in our lives. His little personality, which isn't quite so little, can be such a smile maker. And that cute little smile of his and his giggle gets him out of SO much trouble.. he must have learned from his cute cousin Landon who has also mastered the " im way too cute to get in trouble" look. We are so blessed to be parents to such a great little man and look forward to watching him grow and learn :) So to celebrate he got to open up his present from his Grandma Bell and have cupcakes! We are having his pool party on Saturday.

Cristopher Creek

the temperatures have been horrible lately up to 116! I have been so sick that its hard for me to even walk out to the car without the heat making me even more sick. So needless to say i have been cooped up in our air conditioned apartment. Well i tend to get a little stir crazy when held indoors too long so we decided to take a drive up north a little bit past Payson to go to the creek. We had a little picnic and carter played in the creek, it was so nice to sit on the creek bank and feel the breeze against your skin and be able to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors without getting overheated. Carter loved the creek and did great in the car there and back.

This was me 6 months preggie with carter!

So i had my first doctors appointment and she said that everything looks good and i asked her about my worries because of the mirena and she said there is nothing to worry about! woot woot! We are so excited for this next little journey! I have my first ultrasound in two weeks to get a more accurate measurement on how far along i am and to make sure the little bean is growing well :) I have been experiencing some morning sickness which is not too fun when it hits while i'm doing a facial! yikes! i feel really bloated and the cravings have already started! i have been loving chick-fil-a chicken noodle soup, its seriously delicious, why am i craving soup when its already 100+ degrees outside is beyond me :)

Carter and i leave Wednesday for my family reunion in Paragonah, UT. Devin couldn't get the time off work :/ I'm not looking forward to the drive by myself at all. i'm hoping it will be a lot of fun and that i can feel pretty good during it. It will be fun to take carter camping and i hope that maybe i can get his little booty on an atv with me! haha going VERY slow only through the campsite at first. It would also be great if there was fishing near by so carter could see some fish catching action, i think he would think it was pretty neat!

We have already been throwing some names around for boys and girls and they are pretty darn cute!! :)

a new addition

Devin and i are so excited! We are also very surprised and feel truly blessed at how fast it happened! I am already terrorizing Devin with countless baby names and baby bedding ideas! I have an Estimated due date of Jan 25, 2011, so far away! :) I have my first prenatal appointment tomorrow and am a little nervous just because i have heard some sad stories of woman who got pregnant right away after mirena so keep us in your prayers :)

Zoo

We went to the zoo yesterday and had so much fun! My cousin Katie came with and we met up with kelsey and the two kids the nannies for. It was 90 out and felt great! Our first stop was the petting zoo where carter was in love with the little goats! they were so sweet and loved him too! He was funny because he would stand and pet one, he insisted on sitting down with them!





Carter is really great at animal noises. When he saw this african lioness his response was to scream "kitty kitty" really load over and over! lol

This is his first sno cone that he got to share with his cousin Katie! he didn't do to well trying to bite it so we ended up getting a spoon to make it easier. his response was " mmmmm!"

Oh the sting ray encounter exhibit! by far the highlight of the day, so much that we went twice! he loved petting them! he would squeal and just die of giggles every time one would swim up real fast and splash him! it was SOOO hard keeping him out of the water. he seriously wanted to get in and swim with them!









this was such a special treat! a little baboon was sitting right next to the glass with his little face smushed up against it and kept falling asleep. It was so neat that we got to sit so close to one!



Oh it was so much fun! i cannot wait to take carter again next week! With Lyndsey South and her girls!

Spring has Sprung with a visit from the Bells!

Devin's parents Rich and Giselle came to visit us from northern California. We had so much fun with them! Unfortunately Carter was a little under the weather with RSV, bronchitis, bronchiolitis, and a double ear infection while they were here :( We didn't get to do as much as we wanted to because we had to share them with our sister in law Amy's parents who they have been good friends with for many years. Amy's parents are going to Brazil for 3 years to work in the mission so we weren't too upset about having to share Rich and Giselle's company :) On Monday Giselle, my mom, Carter and I went to Joe's Farm Grill in Gilbert. I had never been before so i was excited to try it!I had a Cheddar bacon cheeseburger and onion rings, it was absolutely delicious! My mom and Giselle both wanted to try the fontina burger but were nervous that it might not taste very good so they ordered one of those and one regular cheeseburger and split them both! I'm pretty sure they both wished they would have each ordered a fontina burger to themselves because they said it was the best burger they had ever had! The Garlic fries that my mom ordered were yummy too, they remind me of California! This is such a great place to take carter because he loves to be outside!
